FOB (Forward Operating Base): A small base on the front line of a battle field that supports local efforts for conflicts.
Those conflicts aren't always on foreign soil. When Veterans come home they are fighting on a new battlefield and sometimes an invisible one. That new battlefield is here in our own home towns, in our communities and the enemy is isolation, depression, addiction, losing their sense of purpose and sadly suicide.
Our Mission
At THE FOB PROJECT, we are committed to creating a vibrant and supportive community where U.S. veterans can heal, grow, and thrive together. Our mission goes beyond simply providing services; we aim to build a cohesive community that empowers veterans to overcome the challenges they face, such as suicide, homelessness, and addiction.
Central to our initiative is the development of a working farm, where veterans can engage in meaningful work that fosters both physical and mental well-being. In addition, our small business incubator offers veterans the resources and mentorship they need to launch and sustain their own ventures, fostering economic independence and personal growth. Our barbershop and gym serve as community hubs, where veterans can connect with one another, share experiences, and build a sense of belonging.
Our nonprofit is dedicated to creating a network of support that extends beyond individual services. We believe that by fostering strong, supportive relationships and providing opportunities for personal and professional development, we can help veterans transition successfully back into civilian life. THE FOB PROJECT is not just about offering tools and resources; it’s about creating a community where veterans can find purpose, camaraderie, and a path to a fulfilling life beyond their military service.
